The project works were located in Al Hashimi Street of Doha, and included the construction of a single carriageway street with parking bays and side road priority junctions. The works included earthworks, paving and kerbing works, storm water drainage works, public utility diversions, services protection and provision for future services, street lighting works, traffic signs and road markings.
GEIC was engaged to provide supervision services for the construction and post-contract quantity surveying. The post contract services included monthly check on works completed, preparation of monthly schedule of works completed to form the basis of agreement for interim payment, maintaining a record of materials delivered to site, collation of delivery invoices, maintaining record of plant and manpower, collation of test results and submission of the same to the client, and marking up of drawings for underground works including line, level and position. This project was completed in July 2002
